What is a Thread Face Lift?
If you undergo a Thread Face Lift, the structure of your face will be lifted by carefully placing threads under the skin in areas where they will lift and support from the inside, providing a solution to sagging jowls or deep ingrained wrinkles.
They are often also known as the silhouette face lift or the contour lift, using the same premise and a similar technique, and are a bit like scaffolding for your face.
If done correctly, they will tighten and lift the face, whilst encouraging regeneration of your skin’s natural collagen. They can also eliminate unwanted fat deposits that collect in jowls or around the eye area.
Does a thread lift hurt?
Placing threads under the skin’s surface MUST only be done to the depth recommended by a qualified health professional. The deeper the threads, the tighter the pinch. But, in most cases, that’s all you will feel.
The feedback we have received is that it hurts no more than a single injection of Botox and is over within seconds.
To ensure maximum comfort levels, we always use anaesthetic cream liberally beforehand so you won’t feel a thing.

How long does it take for a thread facelift to work?
Each thread works with your skin’s own natural chemistry to deliver a natural younger-looking appearance.
It can take up to three months for a thread face lift to show its optimum results, but these results can last for up to five years - depending on the thread used – so it is a very cost-effective treatment.
How much does a thread lift cost?
Suitable for men and women, our PDO thread lift prices start from £400 but the final figure will depend on how many areas of the face you’d like to treat.

Will I still need Botox after a thread lift?
A thread lift will stimulate collagen whereas Botox will not.
Botox works differently to a thread lift because it effectively paralyses the muscles which are used to create wrinkles. It can also be used around the eye area where threads may not be suitable.
Depending on the affect you’d like to achieve, you may still want to invest in Botox for the brow and eye area.

The thread face lift process requires a lot of training and a deep understanding of medicine to deliver. The point of entry and the direction of the threads depends on the skin’s tone, condition and the client’s age and previous treatments.
There are various threads available - from normal suture type threads to screws that eliminate fat while supporting the skin. Only a qualified medical professional will fully understand the science behind each one in order to deliver the most effective and natural looking treatment.
